ELLSWORTH, Ohio — The Western Reserve Rangers 4-H Club featured guest speaker Sam Barnhouse, volunteer fireman and EMT for the Berlin Township Volunteer Fire Department, at its April meeting. Barnhouse shared how working as a volunteer fireman and EMT influenced him towards a career in mortuary science. The club recognized Andy Prosser who was recently elected president of the Mahoning County Junior Fair Board. Camille Kirk, Shannon Marshburn, Olivia Haid and Bri Herman were recognized as new members of the Mahoning County 4-H Fashion Board.

Community Easter Egg Hunt committee members, Bailey Hornberger and Abby Schors, shared that over 6,000 eggs were spread across Western Reserve High School football field for the youth to find. 4-H Junior Camp will take place at 4-H Camp Whitewood in Ashtabula County, July 3-9. 4-H members are eligible for discounts from many local stores by showing their 4-H identification; IDs could be picked up at the OSU Extension office in Canfield. Rangers 4-H Club will meet again, May 12, 7 p.m., at the Ellsworth Fire Hall.

BELOIT, Ohio — The Goshen Good Growers 4-H club met April 4 at Bunker Hill church. There were 29 members in attendance. All members participated in an interactive presentation given by John Biery, to measure the members’ knowledge of what was in everyday foods.
