WOODSFIELD, Ohio – A final tally of the Monroe County mill levy votes confirm that all three county levies have passed.

The Soil and Water Conservation levy of .2 mills was up in the air after election day, hanging on to a two-vote lead with 119 provisional ballots still to be counted.

But with the final vote certified, the SWCD levy passed Monroe County voters by a nine-vote margin, a total vote of 3,384 to 3,375.

The Monroe County Extension .5 mill levy passed 3,564 to 3,313, and the senior services .2 mill levy by 4,188 to 2,804.

A total of 233 fewer voters registered an opinion on both the extension levy and the SWCD levy than voted on the more heavily favored senior services levy.
