Free workshops in Ohio cover weed resistance

COLUMBUS — The Ohio AgriBusiness Association and the Ohio Soybean Association have joined forces to offer weed resistance workshops at three events across the state.

The free workshops will be offered Feb. 28, Feb. 29 and March 1.

Presenters will include researchers Ohio State University crop scientists Dr. Mark Loux and Tony Dobbels. Representatives from Monsanto and other experts in weed resistance round out the program.

In addition to individual speaker presentations, the events will feature a panel discussion with Q&A.

CCA credits for the sessions have been applied for; additional information regarding the program will be provided as it becomes available.

All three workshops will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. and will be followed by a lunch.

The dates and locations are:

Feb. 28: Ohio Agricultural Research & Development Center, 1680 Madison Avenue, Wooster;

Feb. 29: The Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Columbus;

March 1: The Centre, 601 North Main St., Bluffton, Ohio.
