Ken State exhibit features glass artists

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State School of Art Gallery’s spring semester series of exhibitions with Material in the Service of Form will be on display through Feb. 21.

The exhibit features the works of 12 glass artists from Ohio, Michigan and New York.

The exhibition, which reflects the growing interest found in glass works of art, showcases the sculptural uses of glass as well as the range and diversity of contemporary glass art.

Artists include in the exhibition are: Herb Babcock, William Carlson, Jose Chardiet, Dan Clayman, Keith Clayton, Susan Edgerly, Henry Halem, Karen LaMonte, Jay Musler, Clifford Rainey, Michael Scheiner and Jack Schmidt.

The gallery is on the Kent State campus in the art building.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2-5 p.m. Sundays.
