The government pays thousands of people to “help” the farmer. Just how do these government organizations help us farmers?
Do they help with the milking? Do they help clean the barn? Do they help shovel snow to get the milk truck in? Do they help plant and harvest? Do they help with the feeding, so we can have a day off? Or perhaps a vacation?
In the more than 60 years I have milked cows, I have yet to see any such help.
The dairy farmer gets no sick days off, he gets no holidays off, he gets no snow days off.
Here is just a few of many agencies and organizations that are supposed to help the farmer: Ohio Livestock Coalition, Natural Resources Conservation, USDA, Ohio EPA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, OSU Extension, Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Ohio Department of Agriculture, National Farmers Organization, Ohio Farm Bureau and one of the latest, the animal rights organizations.
Just how many more of these organizations can the farmer afford? They are nothing more than parasites, feeding off the farmer.
One thing all these organizations have in common is their so-called advice. Like telling us we can’t haul manure on frozen and snow-covered ground.
The American people have a serious eye problem. We fail to see the danger of these government assistance programs.
Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States, said in 1802, “A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have.”

It would be interesting to see Its a Wonderful Life without each of these organizations. Many of the government employees are very secure in their jobs. Their claims of impact definitely have a spin.
You got that right Ray…sadly too many farmers dont understand that government is never there to help us farmers(or anyone)there are there to help themselves and their corporate sponsors like Monsanto…govt is at best a nessesary evil and at worst an unbearable one(a wise man once said!)Allwe farmers need from the govicorp is for you to leave us be!
