MASSILLON, Ohio – Remembering World War ll, videotaped memories of seven local World War II veterans, will air on Massillon Cable TV May 28, Memorial Day, at 4:30 and 9:30 p.m.

The program is part of the Massillon Celebrates 175 salute to those who have served in the U.S. military.

Taped in the Massillon Municipal Courtroom, the tape will air during court TV time, courtesy of Massillon Cable TV.

Frank Hart, Dominic Belloni, Arthur Jones, Charles Stuck, Howard Hornbrook, Guy Atkinson, and John H. Place shared their recollections.

Those veterans represent different branches of the service and varying experiences. Some were prisoners of war; one was twice sent as counterintelligence into a concentration camp.

Judge Richard T. Kettler chairs the Massillon Celebrates 175 salute to veterans, which also includes the Memorial Day dedication of a World Wars I and II plaque and a student writing contest.
