MARYSVILLE, Ohio – The 32nd annual Ohio Performance Tested Bull Sale was held April 21 at the Eastern Ohio Resource Development Center in Belle Valley, Ohio. Ninety-eight bulls sold for an average of $1,642.
Top bull.
The top-selling bull was Angus lot 188 at $4,000, consigned by Burgett Angus Farm of Carrollton, Ohio.
He is a February 2000 son of Summitcrest Hi Flyer 3B18. Shriver Farms of Pleasant City, Ohio, purchased the bull.
The second high-selling bull was Angus lot 170, at $3,800, consigned by Kiata Farms of Hamilton, Ohio.
He is a March 2000 son of Rito 3X25 of 5H11 EXT. William Clark. of Caldwell, Ohio, purchased the bull.
Volume buyers were Robert Jones of Wheeling, W.Va., and Bob Harriman of Montrose, Mo. Buyers at the four remote sale locations purchased nine bulls.

* 3 Charolais bulls averaged $1,167
* 1 Chimaine bull sold for $1,050
* 3 Gelbvieh bulls averaged $1,258
* 1 Hereford bull sold for $1,000
* 21 Simmental bulls averaged $1,463
