REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Agriculture will sponsor a farm pesticide disposal drop-off Aug. 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fayette County Airport north of Washington Court House on state Route 38.
Drop-off. The chemical drop-off is in conjunction with the 2004 Southwest Ohio Corn Growers Agronomy Field Day.
The pesticide collection and disposal service is free, but only farm chemicals will be accepted.
Paint, antifreeze, solvents, and household and nonfarm pesticides will not be accepted.
This collection is the first of three regional state-sponsored pesticide collections planned for Ohio this year.
