ORLANDO, Fla. – Gary Baldosser, a corn, soybean, wheat and beef producer from Republic, Ohio, was elected 2001 chairman of the American Farm Bureau Federation young farmer and rancher committee during the AFBF annual meeting in Orlando last week.

As YF&R chairman, Baldosser also will serve on the 2001 AFBF board of directors.

Baldosser, an agricultural economics graduate from The Ohio State University, and his wife, Becky, a registered nurse, are partners in GARBEC Farms, which was established in 1990 after Baldosser returned to farming full time. Today, the Baldossers also operate a custom lime-spreading business.

Baldosser has been active in Farm Bureau since 1989. He has served as president of the Seneca County Farm Bureau and on the Ohio Farm Bureau state policy development committee. He and his wife also have served as chairmen of their county Farm Bureau YF&R Committee. In 1998, they served as Ohio Farm Bureau YF&R Committee chairmen.
