It is obvious that the original purpose of the Extension service has not been fulfilled and neither has the public good been served by such projects.
Development sociology basically means authoritarian manipulation — certainly not constitutional, and at the expense of the people to be subjected.
Extension under the Smith-Lever Act meant transfer of land grant college information and research findings to rural residents in a pre-computer era. This mandate is violated by efforts to control rural areas and especially in ways that benefit energy exploitation to benefit China and other foreign powers.
I think it is time to de-fund such projects and save the farms that are left. My farm is surrounded by contamination and destruction caused by frac drilling. The U.S. Supreme Court is now hearing a case of such destruction in Nigeria.
The rights of families to farm and live are being threatened. When inflation continue to soar what is the worth of a family farm? Priceless!
