COSHOCTON, Ohio – Visitors at Historic Roscoe Village will experience a truly old-fashioned Christmas in this restored canal town throughout December.

Plenty to do. Visits with Santa; roasted chestnuts; strolling carolers; complimentary hot-mulled cider and ginger cookies; dulcimer music; candlelight tours; and a candlelighting ceremony are just a few of the multitude of holiday touches that make Christmas in Roscoe Village.

Arctic reindeer will be in the village Dec. 1 and on Dec. 15, the Old Warehouse Restaurant in Roscoe Village will host Breakfast with Santa.

Breakfast with Santa will include a variety of children’s activities in addition to breakfast.

Candlelighting. Concluding the Saturday activities are the Christmas Candlelightings ceremonies. The ceremonies take place Dec. 1, 8, and 15.

The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and include the lighting of a 35-foot Christmas tree; the reading of a Christmas story and traditional carols by a guest choir and a handbell choir.

With the exception of the Breakfast with Santa, the Christmas events held in Roscoe Village are free and open to the public.

How to get there. Roscoe Village is located on state Routes 16 and 83 near the junction of Route 36 in east-central Ohio.
