MADISON, Wis. — RF Goldwyn Hailey, exhibited by Gen-Com Holstein Ltd, of N-D du Bon Conseil, Quebec, was crowned grand champion at the 2012 International Holstein Open Show during this year’s World Dairy Expo.
Hailey, the first-place entry in the 6-year-old and older cow class, was also the show’s senior champion.
Jeff Butler, Joe and Amber Price, of Chebanse, Ill., exhibited Cookview Goldwyn Monique to win reserve grand champion honors, as well as the intermediate champion of the show.
Canada commanded in premier breeder and premier exhibitor. Ferme Jacobs, of Cap-Sante, Quebec, won the premier breeder honor and Gen-Com Holsteins earned the premier exhibitor award.
Braedale Goldwyn was named premier sire.
Mike Heath, of Westminister, Md., placed a total of 392 animals with the help of associate judge David Dyment, Ontario.
Red and White
Blondin Redman Seisme-Red of Milksource Genetics, Kaukauna, Wis., was named grand champion at the 2012 International Red and White Show. Seisme was the winning entry from the aged cow class.
The winner of the 5-year-old class, Starmark Ad Hotstuff-Red-ET, was the reserve champion. Hotstuff-Red is owned by Nathan Thomas, Mike Heath and Will Iager of North Lewisburg, Ohio.
In addition to winning grand champion of the show, Milksource Genetics was also awarded premier exhibitor of the show. Richard Green, Middletown, Del., was the premier breeder, and KHW Kite Advent – Red repeated as premier sire.
Judge Justin Burdette, of Mercersburg, Pa., and associate judge steve Shaw, of Williamsburg, Pa. placed a total of 260 animals.
Guernsey
Jaclyn Peterson of Wilson, Wis. had a double banner day at the International Guernsey Show at World Dairy Expo.
The junior exhibitor topped both the open and junior Guernsey show, earning grand champion honors with her homebred cow, Misty Meadows Adacka Pixie.
Tyler, Paige and Justin Chupp and Chupps Farm Mentor Mary-ET was tapped as the reserve champion of the open show.
Premier breeder of the show was Adams Creek Farm, Steve and Debbie Nuttleman of Bangor, Wis., and premier exhibitor was Chupps Farm, Dale and Stanley Chupp of Inola, Okla.
Coulee Crest Luxury Spider-ET grabbed the premier sire banner.
Judge Adam Liddle, of Argyle, N.Y., judged 229 animals, of which 75 were juniors, with the help of associate judge William Peck.

Grand champion of the International Brown Swiss Show was Forest Lawn Whistler Molly, exhibited by Renegade Swiss of Madison, Wis.
Busy Bee Syndicate Jasper, shown by Elisabeth Regusci, of Modesto, Calif., landed reserve grand champion.
Premier breeder went to Jodi Coppini, of Jo-Dee Swiss in Tilamook, Ore.
Ken Main and Peter Vail of Elite Dairy of Copake Falls, N.Y., won the title of premier exhibitor, while the premier sire was Blessing Mort Laura Legacy.
Judge Curtis Day, of Burnsville, Minn., placed 350 animals with the assistance of Brian Schnebly of Hagerstown, Md.

Arethusa Response Vivid-ET, the top 4-year-old exhibited by Arethusa Farm of Litchfield, Conn., was named grand champion at the International Jersey Show at World Dairy Expo.
The second place 4-year-old, Random Luck Ray Helen, owned by Budjon Farms and Peter Vail of Lomira, Wis., was named the reserve champion.
Ron and Christy Ratliff of Garnett, Kan. took home the honor of premier breeder of the show. Premier exhibitor of the show was awarded to Arethusa Farms, and Tower Vue Prime Tequila-ET was named premier sire.
Judge Mark Rueth of Oxford, Wis. and Cathy Yeoman of Dover, Okla. placed 388 entries.
In the Jersey show, Bailee and Calla Mazzaro, Duane Cole, Burghill, Ohio, showed the first-place junior best three females entry.
Ayrshire
An aged cow, Sweet-Pepper Black Francesca, exhibited by Beverly J. Donovan of Benton, Maine, was the grand champion of the 2012 International Ayrshire Show.
She was also the 2010 grand champion and last year’s reserve grand champion.
Sharwards Calimero Megan, shown by Kurt Wolf of Epworth, Iowa, was named reserve champion.
Palmyra Farms of Hagerstown, Md., is taking home its ninth premier breeder award. The premier exhibitor went to Old Bankston of Epworth, Iowa, and Blackaddar Bb Kellogg has again been named the premier sire.
Judge Lynn Harbaugh of Marion, Wis., placed 265 animals with the assistance of Chad Ryan of Fond du Lac, Wis.

Milking Shorthorn
Mi-San Acres O Lust-ET, exhibited by David Riley of Williamsfield, Ohio, won the International Milking Shorthorn Show at the 2012 World Dairy Expo.
She was the intermediate champion female as well as the winner of the senior-three-year-old cow class, and was last year’s grand champion of the International Milking Shorthorn Junior Show.
The reserve champion was the senior champion and 5-year-old class winner, Halpins Reyfene, exhibited by Halpin Farms of Kempton, Ill.
Judge Steve White from New Castle, Ind., and Ken Empey from Dorchester, Ontario, placed 196 entries.
Premier breeder was Innisfail of Orland, Calif. Halpin Farms of Kempton, Ill. was named premier exhibitor of the show for the second year in a row. Kuszmar Alfairs Othello was once again named premier sire.
