Whiteleather crowned new dairy princess

LISBON, Ohio — The Columbiana County Buckeye Dairy Boosters held its spring banquet April 2.

Kelly Ginnetti, 2016 dairy princess, reported on her activities for the past year. She participated in numerous area parades, made two baby baskets for June, attended area Holstein shows, and attended ladies night at Elder Ag and turf.

During the Columbiana County Fair, she passed out ribbons at the dairy shows and mini showmanship and worked at the Ice Cream Barn.

Court

Ginnetti crowned the 2017 dairy princess, Autumn Whiteleather. She is the daughter of Kim Wykoff, North Canton, and Jason Whiteleather, Minerva.

She is a sophomore at Minerva High School and active in band, dance, ballet, FFA and 4-H.

The first runner-up was Macie Schrecengost. She is a junior at West Branch and MCCTC and is the daughter of Beth and Eric Schrecengost of Salem.

She is active in 4-H, junior fair board, tennis and VEX Robotics.

Scholarships

The 2017 scholarship winners were Kylie Mclean and Jarod Herron.

Mclean is the daughter of Scot and Jodi McLean of Salem. She will be graduating from West Branch High School, then attending ATI in the fall majoring in animal science.

She is active in 4-H, FFA, Columbiana County Dairy Judging Team, soccer and track.

Herron is the son of Jay and Pam Herron of Salem. He will be graduating from United Local High School, attending the Ohio State University this fall majoring in dairy science.

He is active in the band, National Honors Society, junior fair board, U and Me Mentoring Program and an Eagle Scout.
