Work of Niles area artists and authors is special display

NILES, Ohio – A special open house display featuring the work of Niles area artists and authors will be on exhibit at the Niles Historical Society for the next two months.

The historical society is located in the Ward-Thomas Museum, 503 Brown, St., Niles, one block east of Route 46 at 3rd St.

The 14-room Victorian mansion built in 1862 is open for tour from 2-5 p.m. the first Sunday of each month. There are more than 3,000 items on display in the museum.

On March 4 and April 1 some of the books, portraits, paintings, china painting, records, booklets and sketches produced by Niles area artists and authors which have been donated to the Historical Society will be the featured exhibit.
