SEVILLE, Ohio — Claude P. Sheppard Jr., of Seville, died Jan. 27, 2015.
Mr. Sheppard was born in Burbank, Ohio, July 21, 1924, to Claude and Ella (Aukerman) Sheppard. He raised beef cattle and was involved with 4-H for many years. He received the Meritorious Service Award presented by Ohio State Extension in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; son, Jim, of Lafayette; daughters, Sheila Sheppard, of Chippewa Lake, Susan Arters, of Chatham, and Sandra Dearth, of Seville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther O’Hearn, of Berea, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Sparr.
A celebration of life was held Jan. 30 at The Seville Methodist Church. There was a graveside service at Mound Hill Cemetery.
