NORTH LIMA, Ohio — Mildred (Burbick) Ewing-Fiscus, 94, of North Lima, formerly of Salem, died at 3:15 p.m. March 5, 2014, at the Inn at Glenellen.

She was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Homeworth, Ohio to the late Orville and Emma (Brunner) Burbick.

She was an active member of the Salem First Friends Church.

She was the manager of the fabric store in the Salem Plaza, and a Rural mail person.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Norman Ewing and Paul Fiscus Jr., and a sister, Vanita Kubas.

She is survived by her children, Emily Yost of Urbana, Ohio, and Alan Ewing of Canfield, Ohio; siblings, Evelyn Yaggi of Beloit, Jean Pryor of South Carolina, Joann Garwood of Leetonia, and Orville Burbick Jr. of Leetonia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at noon March 8 at the Salem First Friends Church with Pastor Pete Fowler officiating. The burial was in Washingtonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
