MINERVA, Ohio — Ray McPherson, 90, of Minerva, died Nov. 23, 2008, in his home following a short illness.
He was born June 12, 1918, in Millport to Henry and Grace (McKarns) McPherson. He is a retired dairy farmer, having owned Bell-vu Farms for many years.
Mr. McPherson is a member and trustee of the Bayard United Methodist Church and 65-year member of the Bayard Grange No. 1878. He is a member of the Columbiana County Tractor Pullers Association, Carroll County Antique Collectors Club and the Columbiana County Farm Bureau.
Mr. McPherson was preceded in death by his wife, Marian (Boyd) McPherson who died in 1998; and a brother, Robert McPherson.
He is survived by a brother, George McPherson of Hanoverton; and 18 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva, with the Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Burial was at East Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours were held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at the funeral home.
