BERLIN CENTER, Ohio — Willis M. Kirkbride, 83, of Berlin Center, Ohio, died June 16, 2008, at Hospice of the Valley in Poland, Ohio.
He was born March 22, 1925, in North Benton, Ohio, the son of Glenn and Esther (Gibson) Kirkbride.
Mr. Kirkbride graduated from Deerfield High School and worked as a truck driver for 24 years at Kuntzman Trucking in Alliance, Ohio, retiring in 1984. He was also a farmer and a member of the Mahoning County Farm Bureau.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul.
He is survived by his wife, Ann (Johnston) Kirkbride, whom he married Sept. 25, 1948; two daughters, Deborah Bennett of Berlin Center and Linda Brown of Tionesta, Pa.; two sons, Ronald Paul Kirkbride of North Benton and Donald Willis Kirkbride of Guam; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held with burial at Hartzell Cemetery.
