COCHRANTON, Pa. — The Flynn’s Tire Company is a family-owned business operated by the Flynn family in Mercer County, Pa.
The founders established a reputation of service and value in 1964, that continues throughout the organization today.
Growing from a single location to multiple locations in western Pennsylvania and eastern and central Ohio, the company is still expanding.
To serve the retail store network, Flynn’s Tire Company has four large warehouses strategically located to ensure that a large variety of tire sizes is available for retail outlets.
As a result of the company’s large buying power and network of locations, it has become a distributor of Goodyear, Dunlop, Kelly, Michelin, BF Goodrich, Uniroyal, General, Continental, Yokohama, Vogue, Toyo, Pirelli, Republic, Bluestreak and other brands, to other tire retailers, service stations, car dealers and farm/tractor suppliers.
Additionally, Flynn’s Tire Company has a tire retread division to supply truck tires to the motor freight carrier industry.
In 2006, Flynn’s Commercial tire opened its first stand-alone location in Cochranton, Pa. In 2007, Flynn’s acquired L&M Tires in Hermitage, Pa., and Grove City, Pa. The same year, Vowinckel Tires in Clarion, Pa., was also purchased and converted to Flynn’s Tire and Auto Service.
Flynn’s Tire has been successful over the years by providing superior customer service and products at a fair price.

We strive to provide the friendliest and most efficient service possible, putting our customers first before anything else, and recognizing that our company must merit and earn the respect and loyalty of our customers.”
The greatest challenges have been the high cost of oil, which has a direct impact on the cost of producing tires and therefore the cost of tires to the consumer. In addition to that, an influx of tires made in China has made competition with favored USA brands such as Goodyear and Michelin fierce.
