NORTH CANTON, Ohio — How many times have you purchased something only to find that the sale was the end of the seller’s service?

That won’t happen at Terry’s Truck & Trailer Equipment, 3894 State St., N.W., North Canton.

“Our success comes from putting our customers’ satisfaction as our No. 1 priority,” said owner and founder Terry Beall.

Product lines. Turn to Terry’s Truck & Trailer Equipment for Boss snow plows and salt spreaders; Air-flo salt spreader; Truck Craft dump inserts and flat beds, salt spreaders, leaf boxes; Magnum salt spreader; Swenson salt spreaders; Load N Go removable truck bodies and snow plow part sales for various lines of snowplows.

You’ll also find trailer parts and repairs for various trailers, and the folks at Terry’s can also install trailer hitches, brake controllers, and truck accessories, or weld and fabricate it if they don’t carry it!

And they won’t abandon customers after the sale. Terry’s offers complete parts and service support on the lines it carries.

Filled a niche. Beall started the business in 1980 as a service station in Greensburg, Ohio, selling gasoline and servicing automobiles and truck fleets.

He moved his company to its present location a few years after that to have a bigger building to accommodate truck fleets.

Snow business. He started selling BOSS snowplows in 1995 as a sideline, and the diversification, well, snowballed.

“Selling snow removal equipment is now our main business,” Beall said. “We no longer do mechanical repair work on vehicles.”

During snow events, the company is open 24/7 to take care of customers.

And while most people in the region have less-than-fond memories of last winter’s snow, Terry’s Truck & Trailer Equipment had its best year ever in the snow removal sales and service business, Beall said.

“Due to the phenomenal snow season, we, fortunately, were able to weather the downturn,” Beall said. “Our customers made money in the snow removal business, which, in turn, helped us during the winter season and into the spring season.”

Come spring, he added, the landscapers had money to spend on Truck Craft equipment to help them in their landscaping businesses.

The Boss. Beall expects to see more Boss snowplow sales, with new customers and expanded sales in other lines of products.

“We have already received commitments for equipment for this year’s snow removal season.”

The company also added new equipment to expand the welding and fabrication end of the business.

Customers are family. It’s that commitment to service and diversification that Terry and his wife, Carole, hope carry over to the next generation of Bealls.

“Five years from now, we hope that our sons will be running the business with our guidance,” Beall said. “We see them continuing the success that we have had so far.”

“We strive to have the equipment our customers need and the expertise to take care of any problems they may have with their equipment,” he added. “We want them to feel like family.”
