DERUYTER, N.Y. — USA Body manufactures and markets USA ALLStar Ag truck bodies, USA “2 ‘n 1” Ag roll-off systems and USA forestry and landscaper special bodies.
The fact that farm milk prices were strong through 2007, and are predicted to remain strong through 2008, has translated into a busy, productive spring for USA Body. Another important factor in the company’s growth is its reputation — the integrity put into all its products, services and customer relationships.
Dedication to service and on-time delivery are two more attributes that add to USA Body’s credibility with its customers. In addition, the dedicated seven-member staff’s years of experience ensures USA Body products will outlast and outperform the competition.
The business, largely a family operation, evolved from a farm equipment repair business co-owner and former farmer Bruce MacRae started in 1979. He did a variety of farm equipment repair for local farmers, as well as some automotive work.
Customers helped convince the company to pursue fabrication full time and in 1995, the business decided to buy material, build some silage and grain bodies and see what the response would be. The company sold nine bodies the first year and built 100 six years later.
After 10 years of operation in its original location, the business moved to a larger base. Along with its owners, Bruce and Kris MacRae, the company has grown to include four full-time fabricators, a shop manager, office manager and a Chambersburg, Pa., dealer.
Products and services include truck frame alteration, truck mounting of ag applications such as TMR mixers, forage bodies and liquid manure equipment; truck sourcing; used heavy-duty trucks; Husky liquid manure equipment; Omaha and Harsh hoists; automatic and manual tarp systems; Gruett’s Forage Bodies; and Roto Mix TMR mixers.
USA Body is also looking forward to the future.
