  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 2 large cans tomatoes
  • 1 large can kidney beans
  • 1/4 Ben’s Mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/2 ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 s water
  • 1 pkg. chili mix


Brown hamburger and onions together. Rinse with hot water and place in large pot. Add all other ingredients except one can of tomatoes. Simmer 4 hours; add other can of tomatoes and cook another hour. Enjoy a bowl and refrigerate the rest. Next day, simmer 4 hours and add a little water if necessary while cooking; cool down and refrigerate. The extra cooking will thicken chili for your coney dogs and chili is best when all flavors have time to mingle.
