Chess Pies



  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup nuts (chopped but not too fine)
  • 1 cup raisins (seedless, cooked for 5 minutes)
  • Directions

    Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs, then add nuts and drained raisins. Fill muffin pans with rich pie crust and fill with the raisin and nut filling. Bake in a hot oven (400°) until brown. Serve with whipped cream. Makes 1 dozen pies or tarts.
