Cocoa Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup butter, softened  
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package (3.9 ounces) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (12 ounces) miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter, oil and sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs.
  3. Beat in pudding mix and water.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the chocolate mixture and mix well (dough will be stiff).
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Roll into 1-inch balls.
  7. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake at 350° for 9-11 minutes or until set and edges are firm.
  9. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
  10. Yield: about 8 1/2 dozen.
