- 1 can or 3 1/2 cups of cooked hominy
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion, grated
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine, or more as needed
Drain hominy and mix with all ingredients except butter. Shape into 6-8 round, flat patties and fry in butter until golden and crisp.
Note: Patties may be shaped in squares and cut in triangles.
