Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs; add sour milk, boiling water and vanilla. Sift and measure flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Add dry ingredients to moist ingredients. Beat well. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450° 5 to 6 minutes. Cool. Spread filling on one Gob and top with second Gob to form a sandwich. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes about 50.
