Homemade Mayonnaise


  • Mix:
  • 1 sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
  • Add:
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Stir, then add:
  • 1/2 water
  • 1/2 vinegar
  • Stir, then add:
  • 2 eggs, beaten


Mix all together and cook over low heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk or spoon until thickens. Cool in refrigerator.
