  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Directions

    Combine flour, baking powder and salt; mix well and set aside. Combine honey, butter, milk, egg and orange peel in large mixing bowl; beat well. Add flour mixture, beating until smooth; stir in nuts. Pour batter into greased and floured 9x5x3-in. pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean; cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
