Hamburger Noodle Skillet
University of Minnesota Extension Service recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 beef bouillon cubes or 3 teaspoons beef granules (low-sodium)
- 3 cups hot water
- Dash each of pepper and garlic powder
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cups wide egg noodles (uncooked)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 3 tablespoons cold water
Directions
In large skillet, brown beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat. Stir in bouillon cubes, water and uncooked noodles. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in cornstarch mixture. Cook and stir until thickened. Additions: Add chopped celery, diced green pepper or frozen mixed vegetables.
