Meatloaf
Margaret M. Hahn, 93, of Alliance, Ohio, is sharing this meatloaf recipe with us. She says she has used this recipe for more than 50 years. Thank you for sharing!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ground beef
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons instant onion flakes
- Sauce:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
Mix bread crumbs and milk. Let stand for 5 minutes. Add egg, beef, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and onion flakes. Mix well. Form into a loaf and place in a 9 by 11 casserole dish. Mix the sauce ingredients. Pour over the top of the meatloaf. Bake uncovered at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Baste a couple of times while baking the meatloaf.
