Barbecued Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Marinade:
  • 1/2 vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 large garlic clove, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse black pepper
  • 1/4 sugar
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup

Directions

Place chicken in glass bowl. Combine marinade ingredients and pour over chicken. Cover tightly, then marinate in refrigerator for 5 hours. Drain chicken, discarding marinade. Grill chicken until done.

Barbecued Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1/3 vinegar
  • 1/4 salad oil
  • 1/4 water
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper sauce
  • 3 to 3 1/2 lb. fryer, cut into serving pieces

Directions

Combine and mix first 8 ingredients. Bring to boil. Remove from heat; keep hot. Arrange chicken pieces on cooking grill and cook, turning as needed, until fork tender as well as basting frequently with sauce.
