  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Combine water, yeast, sugar and salt. Add oil. Slowly add flour to mixture, mixing well with wooden spatula. Knead dough until supple. If it sticks, add more flour. Transfer dough to lightly oiled bowl and let sit with cloth covering about 1 hour; allow enough time to rise and almost double.
When ready to make pizza, roll dough out so it?s not too thick. Add flour (or cornmeal) to bottom of pizza pan so dough doesn?t stick when cooking
Garnish dough to your liking and bake at 325° 20 to 25 minutes. Any unused dough may be frozen.
