  • 1 flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oleo
  • 1/2 hot milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • fresh strawberries, or any other fruit


Beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually add sugar, beating 5 minutes. By hand, quickly fold in dry ingredients. Add oleo to hot milk, stir until melted. Stir into batter with vanilla. Blend well. Pour into 8x8x2-inch pan. Bake at 350° 25 to 30 minutes. Use with any fresh fruit.
