Vidalia Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 5 or 6 medium Vidalia onions
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 mayonnaise
  • 1/2 vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon celery seeds

Directions

Thinly slice and divide into ringlets. Soak at least 6 hours in vinegar, sugar and water in refrigerator. Drain off liquid. DON’T RINSE. Toss with mayonnaise and celery seed. Great alone or on sandwiches.
