Deerfield Ag Services is accepting applications for the 2024 Fair Funding Starter Scholarship.

Junior fairs can be competitive, with young exhibitors battling it out over whose animal takes home the ribbon for grand champion and reserve. But, they also have a way of bringing out the best in the communities they serve.

The Trumbull County Fair junior livestock sale totaled $334,314. A charity hog raised $9,760 for St. Jude. There were 277 lots sold in total.

This year's Ohio Fairs' Queen hails from Champaign County, where she is active in her 4-H club and the county fair.
