JEFFERSON, Ohio — 150 volunteers. 1,136 first graders. Pigs, lambs, beef and dairy calves, ducks, turkeys, chickens, geraniums, apples, grapes, potatoes, miniature horses and a pygmy goat nine days old.

That was the Ashtabula County Ag Day, a first-ever countywide ag awareness project coordinated by the Ashtabula County Farm Bureau and Ohio State University Extension May 10 at the county fairgrounds in Jefferson.

Here are some photos from the event. We’ll be adding more information, so check back.
