Laughter Yoga is a fun, “feel-good” class with lots of health benefits and Salem Public Library will be hosting a demonstration class at the November 9, 2016 Wellness Wednesday program which begins at 6:30pm in the library’s Quaker Room. Laughter Yoga combines laughing exercises, deep breathing and playful group activities. These activities bring more oxygen to the body and the brain which reduces stress and makes one feel more energetic and healthy. You do not need to know yoga to take this class. To attend registration is required online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or by calling 330-332-0042 for registration assistance. This class for adults is open to the public and free of cost to attend.
The class will be taught by Teresa Lisum of the Loving Hands Group. Ms. Lisum was a public school educator and now spends her time helping people feel healthier and more relaxed. Other activities she is involved with are relaxation massage, mindful doodling, and essential oil education among others.
The Loving Hands Group teaches life-enrichment classes and activities throughout Northeast Ohio. The classes focus on the arts and holistic health care. Their mission is to empower good health through programs that strengthen the body and the spirit.
The Wellness Wednesday program series takes place on the second Wednesday of each month and features health and wellness related topics.
