Paul Wetzl, weeknight meteorologist on WKBN 27 First News, will visit Salem Public Library on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 2-3 pm to speak on the topic “Severe Weather in Northeastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania”. The talk will take place in the library’s Quaker Room located at 821 E. State St., Salem, OH 44460.

Registration is required to attend and may be done online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or by calling the library at 330-332-0042 for registration assistance. The talk is open to the public and free of cost to attend.

Mr. Wetzl is a native of this area and graduated from United Local School in 1993. He attended Mississippi State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geosciences with an emphasis on Meteorology.

He began his career in Mississippi and after five years returned to Northeast Ohio to continue his work in his home area. He finds the challenge of forecasting the variety of weather conditions experienced in this area most enjoyable.
