Blog: A colossal sundae is my kind of sundae

Well, here we are in July already. June has came and went, which means National Dairy Month is over, but it doesn’t have to be National Dairy Month to thank a dairy farmer.

Think about all of the hard working dairy farmers out there bringing you the best of what dairy has to offer.

For a dairy farmer, every month is dairy month. The cows need milking everyday.

How cool is it that the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and the Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion program built a giant, colossal ice cream sundae for National Dairy Month in June?

The ice cream sundae was built at Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia June 30.

Volunteers created the giant sundae using 45 gallons of Turkey Hill vanilla ice cream. The mountain of ice cream was covered with chocolate sauce, strawberries and whipped cream.

The sundae was topped off with a giant ball of cherries.

Now that is my kind of sundae! I could just dive into that little pool of sweetness.
And don’t forget, July is National Ice Cream Month … go have a scoop!
