Damion daughter is grand champion at Pa. Holstein spring show

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pa. Holstein Association held its annual state spring show March 21 at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.

Dennis Patrick judged the 216 entries.

Patrick tapped Linden-Loch Damion Delila, the first place aged cow, as his grand champion of both the youth and open show. She is owned by Douglas Boop, Millmont.

Reserve champion, in both the youth and open shows, was Ran-Can Alexander Clair-Et, a senior 3-year-old owned by Lauren Nell, Gettysburg.

Junior champions

In the youth show, a fall yearling owned by Matthew Boop, Millmont, was named junior champion. Reserve junior champion was a summer yearling, owned by Joel Younker, Fleetwood.

Open show junior champion was Dunn-Pride Gldsn Clever-Et, a winter yearling owned by James Dunn, New Ringgold.

Reserve junior champion was J&K Vue WD Gina Marie-Et, a summer yearling owned by Gerald and Kathy Boop, Millmont.

Intermediate champions

Youth and open show intermediate champions were the ultimate reserve grand champion, Ran-Can Alexander Clair-Et, owned by Lauren Nell, and Penn Gra Dolman Dallas-Et, a junior 3-year-old owned by Coy Campbell, Gratz.

Senior champion

The grand champion was named senior champion of both the youth and open show.

Reserve senior champion in both shows was Bur-Le-Acres Roy Relish, a 5-year-old shown by Jonathan Beiler, Fredericksburg.

Bred and owned

In the youth show, the best animal bred and owned was Penn Gra Dolman Dallas-Et, and in the open show the honor went to the reserve grand champion.

Premier breeder honors went to J&K Vue Holsteins, Gerald and Kathy Boop family; premier exhibitor was Heart and Soul Holsteins and J&K Vue Holsteins, Boop families.
