MUNSON, Ohio —At the last meeting of the Breeders and Feeders, the poultry members discussed housing, feeding and heat. Books were ordered, along with turkeys. Chicken and duck orders are due at the March 23 meeting.
Members taking hog projects bought project books for this year and talked about locating breeders and pigs. May 17 is hog tagging from 8-10 a.m. at the Burton fairgrounds. Enrollment forms are due March 23.
After the meeting, the group enjoyed pizza and members went roller-skating in Chagrin. The group also decorated bags for nursing home residents.
Dates to remember for club members: April 16: Quality and assurance test out; May 10: quality and assurance; May 17: sheep, goat and swine tagging; June 22-28 Geauga County 4-H Camp; July 9: make up project judging and May 19: project judging.

BERLIN CENTER,Ohio — At the March meeting of Western Reserve Rangers 4-H Club, Tiffany Voland, president, shared that the County 4-H Fashion Board is working on plans for the County Style Revue for July 7 and they are applying for a state grant to assist with their community service projects.
Emily Smith, Levi Smith, Remi Mikan and Karl Reph reported on the sessions and events of the Ohio 4-H Teen and Volunteer Conference they attended in Columbus. Advisor Amelia Shrader along with Emily Smith and Levi Smith attended the Ohio State Collegiate 4-H sponsored Plow Boy Prom after the conference.
Levi Smith was selected as “Plow Boy Prom King” for the second year in a row.
Health and Safety Leaders Olivia Haid, Olivia Reph, William Reph and Collin Meehan had tips on flu prevention, skin hydration and the importance of using sunscreen in the winter months.
Levi Smith reported on the Mahoning County Poultry Club Meeting. Advisor Robin Reph shared information from the Mahoning County Rabbit Club Meeting and reminded rabbit members that a review for the upcoming skillathon would be part of next month’s agenda.
Both clubs well meet again April 8 at MetroParks Farm in Canfield.
Community Easter Egg Hunt representative Ian Hames collected eggs and signed up teens to help with the April 18 egg hunt at Western Reserve Schools in Berlin Center. Starting time for the egg hunt is 2 p.m.
Members can bring plastic eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt to the next meeting April 10. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

CANFIELD, Ohio — The Mahoning Capriculturists met Feb. 5 at the Millcreek Metropark Farm. Twenty-three members were present.
Members elected the following officers for the year: president, Logan Moff; vice president, Joey Fagnano; treasurer, Tanner Balsinger; secretary, Carson Markley; news reporters, Ashley James and Hannah Heikkinen.
Members voted to work a concession stand at a canine agility trial as a club fundraiser to raise money for equipment for the goat packing course.
The next meeting is March 31, 7 p.m. at the Metropark Farm.
