ASHLAND, Ohio — This summer has been very busy for the Crestview FFA Chapter. Members have been involved with FFA Camp Muskingum and test plots, along with upcoming events such as Richland County Fair and officer retreat.

The week of June 16, eight members attended FFA Camp Muskingum: Lance Witmer, Logan Campbell, Walker Ramsay, Jacob Landis, Maddy Maust, Sarah Stuart, Luke Frazier, and Jordan Cheesman. While there, members participated in numerous leadership workshops and had down time to play in different tournaments such as cornhole, basketball, baseball, and archery.

Chapter members planted their test plots June 15 and 16. Eight acres were planted of test plots as well as another 30 acres were planted on the farm plot. This year the chapter had 24 varieties of soybeans out of seven companies.

Dave and Nancy Oswalt donated the use of their tractors and the drill to make it possible for members to plant; and others lending assistance included Jarrod and Nick Stuart, Andy Motter, and Joe Ringler.
