SALEM, Ohio — Harry Lee Jackson, 89, of Salem, died Jan. 20 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Salem, the son of the late Everett and Mary (Segedi) Jackson.

He had been employed by the Superior Dairy (formerly Purity Dairy), Eljers and Salem China. He served in the Army during WWII, and was awarded five Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.

He liked the outdoors and was a talented woodworker.

He is survived by his children, Shari Jackson, of Alliance; Dennis Jackson, of Columbus; Debbie Sanders, of Salem; Sandy Snively, of Salem; Diane Ballantine, of Worthington, (Columbus), Ohio; and Doreen Burk, of Jupiter, Fla.; siblings, Everett Jackson Jr., Walter Jackson, Billy Jackson and Rose Parks, of Fla., eight grandchildren and one great-grand child.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Tillie C. Thomas Jackson. Services were at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral Home. Friends may sign the guestbook at www.apgreenisenfh.com.
