Zimmerman gates, stalls and headlocks, and more.

New in 2008, JCB parts and equipment, including Fastrac tractors, are available through Harold’s Equipment, Inc.

Staff

As always, a highly trained service staff and a well-stocked parts room round out what they have available to meet customers’ needs.

When Harold and Sue Neuenschwander started the business in May 1985, it consisted of a small shop, a small one-room office and one employee. They have experienced steady growth over the years and in 2003, moved into their current building with increased office space, and a large parts room and shop.

They currently have 15 employees and have grown to be a major dealer with most suppliers. The company continues to research and improve their product line to better serve customers’ needs.

Business

Higher milk prices have allowed farmers to update and improve equipment and facilities, which has helped business. The trend toward larger farms leads to larger and more specialized systems, which also requires more and more consulting and lay-out planning.

Also, the issue of manure handling continues to bring changes. Nutrient Management Plans are becoming more important and even mandatory.

Conservative spending decisions and focusing on customers’ needs is helping Harold’s to get through the down times. They are also training employees to work with customers and teaching them how to help customers make wise decisions.
