Harold’s Equipment has experienced steady growth over the years and, in 2003, moved into its current building with increased office space and a large parts room and shop.
There are currently 13 employees for the company that’s grown to be a major dealer with most suppliers.
In the past year, Harold’s has noticed higher milk prices have allowed farmers to update and improve equipment and facilities.
They’ve also noticed the trend to larger farms, which is leading to larger and more specialized systems. With this there is a need for more and more layouts and consultations.
Another concern for the industry is manure handling, which is causing bigger changes than ever before. Nutrient management plans are becoming more important and even mandatory in light of growing concerns about our environment and water supplies, Neuenschwander said.
