SALEM, Ohio — Simmons Grain Co. is committed to servicing the needs of area farmers as shown by their investment in new bin space and grain handling equipment.
“Having been in business for 29 years, our focus for the future is originating and merchandising more bushels of grain, as well as serving our customers’ needs in the organic marketplace with our certified organic soybean meal, soybean oil and roasted soybeans,” said Eric Simmons, grain merchandising and assistant manager with 13 years of experience.
“We are so fortunate here to have personnel who truly care about providing top quality service to all our customers — whether it be getting their trucks unloaded, their grain priced at profitable levels, loads delivered when they need to be, or prompt payment for the grain they sold. Our team displays integrity, takes pride in their work, and are all successful in life outside this company,” said Jeff Simmons, founder/president and operations adviser.

In addition to Jeff Simmons and Eric Simmons, the experienced and enthusiastic staff at Simmons includes: Jay Simmons, founder/president and operations adviser; Cindy Burch, secretarial and accounting with 18 years of experience; Tom Irwin, soy plant, maintenance and safety supervisor with 18 years of experience; Wes Anderson, soy plant operator with 14 years of experience; Steve Gruszecki, soy plant operator with five years of experience; Eric Mackall, grain/soy shipping and receiving with three years of experience; and Andy Sanor, soy plant operator with one year of experience.
Changes in the past year include the installation of a new 70-foot truck scale to weigh today’s longer trucks and remodeling of the office area this past winter.
