MINERVA, Ohio — Dating back to 1968, Unkefer Equipment Inc. has a proud history of supplying equipment needs to the hobby farmer and the larger ag interest.
They offer Kubota, New Holland, Steiner Turf, Landoll, Case IH, Woods, Pequeau, Shindaiwa and Miller. They do sales, service and parts, and also rent skid loaders.
In 1968 Unkefer started with Case Tractors, Bolens Lawn Equipment and New Holland in a building where they are currently located. Since then, they have expanded their sales line, service, parts and buildings to where they are today.
Unkefer Equipment employs 15 full-time workers and two part-timers.
Steady growth
They’re seeing growth in both the compact tractor market — which appeals to the hobby farmer or those with more than two acres to take care of — and in the agricultural market.
Because of the Marcellus shale development, Unkefer Equipment has noticed an overall increase in business. And they see continued steady growth in all areas of the company.
Unkefer Equipment is located at 1115 N. Market St., Minerva. They’re open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays
