Fire won’t impact John Deere spring product offering

by Other News

DAVENPORT, Iowa – A recent fire in a leased facility north of Davenport, Iowa, caused extensive damage to inventories of certain equipment slated for overseas sales and other selected attachments for products of John Deere’s Worldwide Commercial and Consumer Equipment Division.

There were no initial reports of injuries as a result of the fire. The company said it expects the fire to have minimal overall impact on the division’s spring product offerings.

John Deere said the company has insurance coverage for the contents and for any business interruption that might occur because of the fire.

A private company, Quad City Consolidation and Distribution, operates the facility.
