Whiteleather wins Holstein district show

WOOSTER, Ohio — The District 7 Holstein Show was held July 18 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster, Ohio.

Approximately 100 registered Holsteins paraded the ring before the eye of judge Dwight Stoltzfus, Pennwood Farms, Berlin, Pa.

Walking away with the senior and grand champion banners was Whiteleather Durasell 726, the winning 4-year-old, shown by Whiteleather Farms of Minerva, Ohio.

She is sired by Mr. Durasell and was the senior and grand champion just one week before at the District 1 and 2 Holstein Show in Northeast Ohio.

Walnutway Kite Casey, the first place senior 2-year-old, was chosen as intermediate champion and reserve grand champion of the show.

A daughter of Markwell Kite, she is owned by Steve Gilbert and James Kemp, Wooster, Ohio.

The reserve senior champion was Gateway Hi-Metro Laurie, the second place 4-year-old shown by Gateway Holsteins, M. H. and Rod Huntsberger, Shreve, Ohio. She is sired by Sikkema-Star-W Hi-Metro.

Reserve intermediate champion was the junior 3-year-old, Brook Hollow SS Skyway-ET shown by Brook Hollow Farm, Delbert and Heather Yoder, West Salem, Ohio.

Junior champion of the open show was the spring yearling, Lingle DD Fearsome, sired by Regancrest Dundee, and shown by Lingle Holsteins, Wooster, Ohio.

Reserve junior champion of the open show and junior champion of the junior show was Miley Sensation S Gold shown by Jason Miley, West Salem, Ohio. She is sired by Velvet-View KJ Sensation-ET.

Reserve junior champion in the junior show was Ben-Ali TS 223 Niece 789 shown by Ben Mangun, Burbank, Ohio. She was the winning winter yearling and is sired by Jenny-Lou Mrshl Toystory-ET.

The senior and grand champion in the junior show was the 5-year-old shown by Jason Miley West Salem, Ohio, Miley Roy Lee Maises, sired by Roylane Jordan.

Reserve senior and reserve grand champion was Miley Leduc M Butterfly, sired by Lystel Leduc, and also shown by Jason Miley.

Intermediate champion of the junior show was the winning senior 2-year-old, Quality Quest Lou Firestar-ET, shown by Evan Dye, Beloit, Ohio. She was sired by Jenny-Lou Marshall PT 149.

Reserve intermediate champion was the senior 3-year-old, Miley Dundee For Gemma sired by Regancrest Dundee and shown by Anna Miley, West Salem.

Premier Breeder and Exhibitor of the show was Brook Hollow Farm, Delbert and Heather Yoder of West Salem, Ohio.

Senior showmanship winner was Rachil Reynolds of Big Prairie, Ohio, and junior showmanship winner was David Miley of West Salem, Ohio.
