Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp dry active yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 tbsp sugar or molasses
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
- Whisk the warm milk, yeast, and sugar together, allowing it to sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Mix in the melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually fold in the flour until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5 to-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a warm cloth, and let rise for 1.5 hours.
- Divide the dough into 6 to-8 portions and shape into flattened buns.
- Place on a baking sheet, let rise for another 60 minutes.
- Bake at 400°F for 15 to-20 minutes until golden.
- Serve with coffee or tea for dipping.
